Veronika Erjavec Tennis World Rankings

Ljubljana, Slovenia — Slovenian tennis players Veronika Erjavec and Kaja Juvan celebrated significant victories recently, with Erjavec winning the WTA 125 tournament in Huzhou, China, while Juvan triumphed at the same level at home in Tivoli, Ljubljana.

These achievements have propelled Erjavec to maintain her position at No. 99 in the WTA rankings, while Juvan remains at No. 128. Both players are focused and hopeful as they head into the latter part of the 2025 season.

Erjavec’s consistent performance this week has kept her in the top 100, a remarkable feat for the athlete. “This gives me great motivation for the upcoming matches,” she stated after her recent win.

Juvan, despite taking a break from competition for a year, has exceeded expectations, according to analysts. “I’m thrilled with how I played at home,” she said, highlighting her strong performance during the local tournament.

Meanwhile, fellow Slovenian Tamara Zidanšek has dropped from No. 172 to No. 152, while Dalila Jakupović slid from 299 to 296. Both players are looking to regain their momentum in future competitions.

At the top of the WTA rankings, Belarussian star Arina Sabalenka continues to dominate, followed by Poland’s Iga Swiatek and American Coco Gauff, who secure the second and third spots respectively.

The Slovenian Tennis Association aims to host a stronger tournament category in the future, potentially seeking a WTA 250 event to attract more international players.
