SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Dates Announced for September 2024
Big news for those preparing for government jobs! The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has just announced the exam dates for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier 1 examination. This much-awaited exam will take place from September 9 to September 26, 2024.
With the exam dates officially out, candidates gearing up for Group B and C positions need to kick their preparation into high gear. There’s not much time left, so it’s essential to check out the syllabus and make sure you’re ready.
The CGL exam will cover subjects like General Knowledge, Reasoning, Mathematics, and English. Candidates can expect both verbal and non-verbal reasoning questions that include topics such as analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, problem-solving, and more.
In the Mathematics section, the syllabus includes topics like number systems, fractions and decimals, percentages, ratios, profit and loss, and basic geometry. Familiarizing yourself with these will give you a head start.
General Knowledge will include questions from history, culture, geography, economics, politics, current affairs, and even famous books and authors. It’s a vast area, but brushing up regularly will help you feel confident.
As for the English syllabus, expect questions on synonyms, error spotting, reading comprehension, sentence improvement, idioms, and spelling tests. Practicing these can really enhance your language skills.
The SSC has yet to announce when the admit cards will be available, but typically they release them a few days before the exam. So keep an eye on their official website for updates!
This year’s CGL recruitment is looking to fill about 17,727 vacancies, so competition will be tough. Make sure you’re well-prepared! The application process ran from June 24 to July 27, giving candidates a fair chance to secure their applications.
