Veterans Day Parade 2025

Palm Coast, FL — The Chamber of Commerce of the Moriches has named Ina Casali, a Vietnam War Navy veteran, as the Grand Marshal for their 2025 Veterans Day Parade. The event is set to begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Eagle on the corner of Adelaide Avenue and Montauk Highway, proceeding to Soldiers and Sailors Park for a ceremony.

After the ceremony, veterans are invited to a reception at the East Moriches Fire House. The parade welcomes all veterans to participate. Those interested in joining can contact Parade Organizer Miriam Gillies at 631-965-9645 for applications and more information.

In addition, Goldsboro, NC, will hold its annual Veterans Day Parade on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. This year’s event will feature Grand Marshal Thurston Quinn, a 99-year-old World War II Army combat veteran. The lineup begins at 9:30 a.m. at North Center Street and Ash Street, with the parade commencing at 11:00 a.m. The procession will travel south on Center Street, making a U-turn at Pine Street and returning north to conclude at Ash Street.

Eric Busse, President of the Wayne County Veterans & Patriots Coalition, expects strong attendance this year, noting that many groups have already confirmed their participation. Community members who wish to join the parade can download an application from the county’s website, with a deadline for entries on November 7.

Following the Goldsboro parade, the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a memorial service at 1 p.m. at the Wayne County Veterans Memorial, honoring all veterans and active duty military personnel.

Meanwhile, in Ponchatoula, LA, George Van Zandt, a 101-year-old World War II veteran, will serve as the Grand Marshal of the town’s inaugural Veterans Day Parade on November 1. The parade will feature a post-event celebration with entertainment and a vintage car show, highlighting the significance of honoring those who served.

Van Zandt commented on the importance of celebrating veterans, stating, “This is a different deal; this is not Veterans Day; it is a celebration in honor of the veterans and their families.” With historical ties to the military, the parade is expected to draw participation from surrounding parishes.

Residents are encouraged to take part in these celebrations and honor the sacrifices made by veterans across the nation.
