BIRMINGHAM, England — Jack Osbourne publicly criticized Pink Floyd founder Roger Waters for making derogatory comments about his late father, Ozzy Osbourne. The remarks came during an interview that surfaced recently after Osbourne’s death on July 22 at the age of 76.

In the interview, Waters referred to Ozzy’s life in a dismissive tone. “Ozzy Osbourne, who just died, bless him, in his whatever that state that he was in his whole life, we’ll never know,” he said. He continued by expressing indifference towards Ozzy’s music and career, stating, “I don’t care about Black Sabbath, I never did.”

Jack Osbourne, 39, responded harshly on social media. “Hey [Roger Waters], F— you. How pathetic and out of touch you’ve become,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories. Jack’s reply emphasized his disdain for Waters’ comments, suggesting that the musician resorted to offensive talk for attention.

This isn’t the first time Ozzy’s family has defended him since his passing. Jack’s sister, Kelly Osbourne, also reacted strongly to negative comments about their father’s hometown. During a WWE event, wrestler Becky Lynch expressed her distaste for Birmingham, where Ozzy was buried, stating, “the only good thing that came out of here died a month ago.” Kelly fired back, labeling Lynch a “disrespectful dirtbag” for her words.

Ozzy Osbourne, legendary lead singer of Black Sabbath, died due to cardiac arrest, coronary artery disease, and Parkinson’s disease. His family announced the news, expressing their grief and requesting privacy at the time.

Thousands of fans turned out in Birmingham to honor Ozzy during his funeral procession, which passed by significant locations in his life, including the Black Sabbath bench along the canal. In one final concert before his death, he performed on July 5, alongside fellow artists like Metallica and Guns N’ Roses.

Reflecting on his father’s wishes, Jack shared a heartfelt message of love and gratitude, highlighting how fortunate he felt to have had 14,501 days with his father. He called Ozzy not only a musical icon but also a beloved dad.
