OCEAN CITY, Maryland — The shoulder season at Ocean City beaches is filled with music events, leading into a second week of festivities at the Ocean City Inlet. Tens of thousands of music fans will gather for the Country Calling festival, set to take place from October 3-5.

Following last week’s successful Oceans Calling festival, which attracted an estimated 55,000 attendees per day, this weekend’s Country Calling promises more excitement. The event features over three dozen performers, kicking off on Friday with headliners Carrie Underwood and Brooks & Dunn. Other acts include Leann Rimes and Tyler Hubbard.

On Saturday, Luke Bryan will take the stage, joined by Wynonna Judd, Gretchen Wilson, and local favorite Jimmy Charles. The festival will wrap up on Sunday with Luke Combs headlining, alongside Margo Price and Ryan Bingham & the Texas Gentlemen.

Tickets are still available at varying prices, with packages to accommodate different budgets. Those interested should act quickly, as they are expected to sell out.

In related news, the Town of Ocean City is preparing for its 150th Anniversary Gala at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center on Friday, December 12. Tickets went on sale October 1, with an announcement regarding pricing and details expected soon.

In nearby Sussex County, the Milton Theatre will host a stand-up comedy show titled Pumpkin Spice & Punchlines at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. This humorous event will feature comedian Keith Purnell and others with tickets priced at $15 and $22, ensuring a fun night for attendees.
