Ben Affleck Surprises at NYC Premiere of Kiss of the Spider Woman
New York City, NY — Ben Affleck made a surprise appearance at the premiere of the musical film Kiss of the Spider Woman on October 6, 2025. The former couple, Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, were seen celebrating the film they co-produced through their company, Artists Equity.
Affleck, 53, attended the event alongside Lopez, 56, who stars in the movie as a character named Ingrid Luna. Both posed together on the red carpet, marking their first public appearance since finalizing their divorce earlier this year.
Lopez introduced the film to the audience, expressing her gratitude towards Affleck. “Thank you, Ben, this movie wouldn’t have been made without Ben and without Artists Equity,” she stated. Her emotional thanks underscored her appreciation for Affleck’s role in bringing the project to life.

Kiss of the Spider Woman is a reimagining of the stage musical that first debuted on Broadway in 1993. Directed by Bill Condon, it follows the story of Valentin, a political prisoner portrayed by Diego Luna, and Molina, played by Tonatiuh, who share an unexpected camaraderie while recounting tales from the silver screen.
The film features a star-studded cast and will be released in theaters on October 10, 2025. Lopez noted the artistic collaboration and support from Affleck was vital to the film’s success.
