Latin Music Week Kicks Off with Surprise Birthday Celebration for Yami Safdie
Miami, Florida – The Latin Music Week began with a vibrant showcase at the MAD Club Wynwood on Monday, October 20, headlined by emerging artists like the Chilean Katteyes and Los Ricos. The event marked the start of the prestigious annual music industry gathering.
Performers included Mateo Eraña from Asturias, who brought a folk-rock vibe, Yas Gagliardi with her pop ballads, Puerto Rican artist Gale showcasing captivating electropop, and Argentine Luck Ra delivering an exciting mix of trap and cumbia. The night highlighted the latest urban music star, Puerto Rican J Álvarez.
Yami Safdie was surprised during the event when organizers presented her with a cake to celebrate her 28th birthday. The special moment featured a duet with her fellow Argentine artist Soledad, where they sang “Alma, corazón y vida,” a composition by criollo waltz creator Adrián Flores.
Argentine musician, producer, and DJ Bröther, known for founding the global phenomenon “La fiesta más linda del mundo,” entertained guests with a lively mix of contemporary Latin music during performance breaks.
Another surprise at the showcase was the appearance of urban music star Álvaro Díaz, spotted among VIP guests. With over 30 years of history, Latin Music Week is recognized as the largest and most significant meeting of Latin artists and executives worldwide.
This year’s star-studded lineup features notable acts such as Aitana, Alofoke, Anuel AA, Bebeshito, Carlos Vives, Carín León, Danny Ocean, DJ Khaled, Daddy Yankee, Emilia Mernes, Ivy Queen, Gloria Estefan, Grupo 5, Kapo, Laura Pausini, Luck Ra, Netón Vega, Olga Tañón, Óscar Maydon, Ozuna, Pablo Alborán, Rawayana, Suzette Quintanilla, Tokischa, Xavi, and Yailin La Más Viral.
Latin Music Week coincides with the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards, set to broadcast on Thursday, October 23, via Telemundo and Peacock, where Bad Bunny will be honored.
