“Only Murders in the Building” May Move to London for Season 6

LOS ANGELES, CA – The hit comedy series “Only Murders in the Building” could soon take its crime-solving antics to London, according to sources. After a fifth season in the familiar setting of New York City, the show is reportedly evaluating a transatlantic move for its sixth season.

The season finale of Season 5 will air on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, and is expected to drop hints about this potential location change. The series follows amateur sleuths Charles, Oliver, and Mabel as they navigate murder mysteries, and their adventures have previously taken them only as far as California.

Sources indicate that a new primary setting in London would mark a significant shift for the show, which has not been renewed for a sixth season yet but is widely expected to return. All previous murders have occurred in the historic Arconia building in New York, designed in Italian Renaissance Revival style, matching the European aesthetic.

In Season 5, the murder of beloved doorman Lester has led to a tangled investigation involving mafia connections and illegal casinos, featuring guest appearances by Bobby Cannavale and Téa Leoni as well as powerful billionaires played by Renée Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, and Logan Lerman. The current all-star cast also includes Martin Short, Selena Gomez, and Steve Martin.

Co-created by Martin and showrunner John Hoffman, “Only Murders in the Building” has gained a devoted following, making it one of Hulu‘s popular offerings. The anticipated shift to London would not only allow for new storylines but also place two leading mystery series—”Only Murders in the Building” and HBO‘s “The White Lotus“—within transit distance of each other in Europe.

As of now, Disney, which owns Hulu, has declined to comment on the show’s future plans. Fans eagerly await more clues about the possible London setting in the upcoming season finale.
