Brittany Howard and Michael Kiwanuka Launch U.S. Co-Headline Tour
Brittany Howard, a five-time Grammy Award winner, and Michael Kiwanuka, a Mercury Prize recipient and Grammy nominee, have embarked on a co-headlined tour across the United States. This highly anticipated tour commenced on September 29th in Philadelphia, bringing the fusion of their musical talents to 15 cities, culminating in Paso Robles, California, on October 19th.
The artists have pledged to donate one dollar from each ticket sold to support housing and mental health resources for people of color, single mothers, and unhoused LGBTQ youth, highlighting their commitment to philanthropy as part of their tour.
In a recent highlight of the tour, Brittany Howard showcased her song “What Now” from her critically acclaimed album on “The Late Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” This performance has been described as “electric,” capturing Howard’s dynamic stage presence and powerful vocal delivery.
Yasmin Williams joins Howard and Kiwanuka as the support act, bringing her innovative approach to guitar music, which combines elements of folk and acoustic sounds.
The tour stopped at the Palace Theatre in St. Paul, Minnesota, on October 6th, where both artists delivered a compelling evening of funk, soul, R&B, and inventive soundscapes.
