In the playoffs’ first round, the Dream faced the Indiana Fever, who were missing key players such as Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham. The Dream won Game 1 decisively, defeating the Fever 80-68 on the road.
After the game, Griner took to social media to express her excitement about the playoffs atmosphere. “What a win,” she posted. “What an atmosphere,” reflecting her enthusiasm for team camaraderie and competitive spirit.
Previously, Griner began her WNBA career with the Phoenix Mercury, where she played alongside stars like Sophie Cunningham and WNBA legend Diana Taurasi. Griner, a former WNBA champion, aims to lead the Dream to their own title after a successful tenure in Phoenix.
