Boston Celtics Training Camp Roster 2025

BOSTON, Massachusetts — The Boston Celtics released their full 21-man training camp roster on Monday, ahead of the first practice scheduled for September 30.

The roster includes 14 players with guaranteed contracts, featuring newcomers Anfernee Simons, Luka Garza, Josh Minott, Chris Boucher, and first-round draft pick Hugo Gonzalez. Additionally, three players—rookies Amari Williams, Max Shulga, and RJ Luis Jr.—are signed under two-way contracts. Four players received camp invites: Jalen Bridges, Kendall Brown, Ron Harper Jr., and Wendell Moore Jr.

Bridges and Brown previously played for the Celtics’ Summer League team earlier this year. Harper participated in last year’s camp with the Celtics before spending time with their G League affiliate. Moore, a 24-year-old shooting guard, is new to the franchise after appearing in games with Detroit and Charlotte last season.

The Celtics currently have one open roster spot and are managing the absence of star player Jayson Tatum, who is expected to miss a significant portion of the upcoming season due to Achilles surgery. The team will start with 14 players, but will only have 13 healthy as Tatum recovers.

“We are excited to kick off the training camp and see how the new players integrate with the returning ones,” said Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla, starting his fourth season with the team.

The Celtics will face several challenges this season, especially with the departure of three key rotation players: Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis, and Luke Kornet. The revamped roster includes nine returning players and aims to build synergy through preseason games beginning in October.

Here’s the complete training camp roster: No. 0 Jayson Tatum, No. 4 Anfernee Simons, No. 7 Jaylen Brown, No. 8 Josh Minott, No. 9 Derrick White, No. 11 Payton Pritchard, No. 12 RJ Luis Jr. (two-way), No. 13 Ron Harper Jr., No. 20 Wendell Moore Jr., No. 26 Xavier Tillman Sr., No. 27 Jordan Walsh, No. 28 Hugo Gonzalez, No. 30 Sam Hauser, No. 38 Kendall Brown, No. 41 Jalen Bridges, No. 44 Max Shulga (two-way), No. 52 Luka Garza, No. 55 Baylor Scheierman, No. 77 Amari Williams (two-way), No. 88 Neemias Queta, and No. 99 Chris Boucher.

The training camp indicates a new chapter for the Celtics, with promising talent and new additions aiming for success in the 2025-26 NBA season.
