Antonio Conte Manchester City Champions League

MANCHESTER, England – Antonio Conte has announced his starting lineup for Napoli‘s debut in the Champions League, maintaining the same 11 players who secured a victory last Saturday against Fiorentina.

The match against Manchester City on September 18 will see Serbian goalkeeper Milinkovic remain in goal, despite the return of injured player Meret. In defense, Spinazzola has won the competition for the left-back position over Olivera.

The showdown at the Etihad Stadium is particularly noteworthy for Kevin De Bruyne, who returns to the venue where he made his mark during nine impressive seasons.

The expected lineup for Manchester City features a 4-1-4-1 formation, including goalkeeper Donnarumma and players Nunes, Ruben Dias, Stones, and Aké in defense. Rodri will play as a defensive midfielder, supported by Foden, Bernardo Silva, Reijnders, and Doku in the attacking positions, with Haaland leading the offense.

Napoli also plans to deploy a 4-1-4-1 formation, with Milinkovic-Savic in goal. The defense will be rounded out by Di Lorenzo, Beukema, Buongiorno, and Spinazzola. Lobotka will play in the defensive midfield position, while the attack will feature Politano, Anguissa, De Bruyne, and McTominay, with Hojlund as the striker.

This match represents a significant moment for both teams as they begin their Champions League campaigns.
