Houston Restaurant Owner Faces Deportation Over Visa Violation

HOUSTON, Texas — Roland Mehrez Beainy, 28, owner of the Trump-themed burger chain, is facing deportation after being arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials for overstaying his visa. Beainy, originally from Lebanon, entered the United States in 2019 on a non-immigrant visitor visa but failed to leave by the required date of February 12, 2024.
Beainy was arrested on May 16, 2025, and is currently in immigration proceedings. An immigration judge granted him bond on June 13 while his case continues. According to an ICE spokesperson, Beainy does not have any immigration benefits that could prevent his removal from the country.
In a statement, the ICE representative emphasized, “Despite false claims to the contrary, Roland Mehrez Beainy is a 28-year-old illegal alien from Lebanon who has overstayed the terms of his admission.” The spokesperson added that ICE is dedicated to maintaining the integrity of the immigration system, stating, “This is true regardless of what restaurant you own or political beliefs you might have.”
Beainy co-owns the restaurant chain, which has locations in Bay City, Bellville, Flatonia, and Houston. The Houston location celebrated its grand opening on April 19, 2025, at 3410 Chimney Rock Road. The restaurants are known for their politically themed branding and menu items, celebrating former President Donald Trump.
Despite their unique theme, the restaurants have received mixed reviews from customers. One critic remarked that the food was “consistent in blandness.”
As the restaurant saga unfolds alongside Beainy’s immigration status, the local community and media are keeping a close eye on the proceedings. An immigration court hearing is scheduled for November 18, where a judge will rule on Beainy’s potential removal from the country.
