Las Vegas Braces for Unsettled Weather with Rain and Storms This Weekend

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas is preparing for a few days of unsettled weather as a potent system arrives Saturday, bringing wind, rain, and cooler temperatures.
Weather experts predict that Saturday will start with daytime highs climbing above normal. However, by afternoon, wind gusts are expected to increase, and isolated showers, along with some chances of thunderstorms, could develop by the evening.
Forecasters warn that the possibility of showers and thunderstorms remains overnight into Sunday. By Sunday, widespread rain and thunderstorms are on the forecast, which will help cool the atmosphere to a high of only 73 degrees.
Temperatures are expected to drop another 7 to 10 degrees by Monday, with rain chances hovering around 60%. The showers are not anticipated to be continuous but are expected to come in multiple rounds, accompanied by thunderstorms.
As the week progresses, Tuesday and Wednesday will see a decline in rain chances, though temperatures will remain below seasonal averages. However, by Wednesday, temperatures are projected to rise back into the 80s, with daytime highs climbing for the rest of the work and school week.
The UV index on Saturday will be 4, classified as moderate, prompting residents to stay aware and prepared. For real-time updates, downloading the FOX5 Weather App is recommended for both Apple and Android users.
