National Medical Commission Revises NEET PG 2024 Exam Date to June 23

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has officially announced the rescheduling of the NEET PG 2024 exam date to June 23. This decision comes after a meeting held by the Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB), National Medical Commission, along with key stakeholders including the Medical Counselling Committee, Directorate General for Health Sciences, and National Board of Examinations for Medical Sciences.

Prior to this update, the NEET PG 2024 exam was initially slated for July 7. However, with the revised schedule, aspiring candidates can now prepare for the examination on the new date set by the NMC.

The cut-off date for the eligibility criteria remains unchanged, set at August 15, allowing candidates to align their internship completion with the requirements for appearing in the exam. Moreover, the results of the NEET PG 2024 exam are expected to be declared by July 15, providing timely feedback to the participants.

Key dates to note for NEET PG 2024 include the counselling period scheduled from August 5 to October 15, 2024. This window gives successful candidates the opportunity to secure admissions to various MD/MS and PG diploma courses under the revamped guidelines set by the National Medical Commission.

Commencing the academic session on September 16, 2024, ensures a structured timeline for the new batch of medical students entering the postgraduate landscape. Additionally, the last date for joining has been set for October 21, offering a definitive deadline for finalizing admissions.

The NEET-PG serves as a pivotal examination under the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, acting as the sole entrance test for individuals seeking admission to diverse medical postgraduate programs. Candidates are advised to stay updated with the official notifications and guidelines provided by the NMC to navigate through the upcoming examination process smoothly.
