American rapper Travis Scott was arrested in Miami Beach on suspicion of disorderly intoxication and trespassing in the early hours of Thursday at the Miami Beach Marina. The 33-year-old, known by his real name Jacques Bermon Webster, was detained following an incident on a yacht.

According to an arrest report from the Miami Beach Police Department, officers responded to reports of a disturbance on a yacht where they found Travis Scott shouting at people on the vessel. The rapper, a 10-time Grammy Award nominee and prominent hip-hop artist, was reported to have a strong smell of alcohol on his breath.

Police instructed Scott to leave the dock, but he initially complied only to return five minutes later to the area. He was seen attempting to head back to the yacht and disregarded officers’ commands, becoming erratic and causing a disturbance in the local area.

After his arrest, Travis Scott admitted to consuming alcohol and casually remarked, ‘It’s Miami.’ The rapper, who previously dated Kylie Jenner and shares two children with her, was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and is expected to be released soon.

Notwithstanding recent legal challenges, including the tragic deaths of 10 fans at his Astroworld festival in Houston, Travis Scott continues to be a prominent figure in the music industry. His upcoming European tour, starting in the Netherlands and including a show in London, remains scheduled to begin late next week.
