Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke Recall Listeria

Kent, Washington – Western United Fish Company has announced a recall of its Kirkland Signature brand Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recall was initiated on Saturday, following a positive test for the bacteria in the product’s green onions.

The affected product is approximately 3,315 pounds of Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke, which was sold at Costco deli sections. It was packaged and distributed on September 18, 2025, and has a sell by date of September 22, 2025. The products were distributed to Costco locations across at least 32 states, including Alabama, California, New York, Texas, and Washington.

As of the recall date, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the product. However, Listeria can cause serious health issues, particularly for young children, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems. Symptoms of listeriosis may include fever, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, and in severe cases, confusion and convulsions.

Consumers who purchased the Ahi Tuna Poke are advised not to consume the product. They can return it to their local Costco for a full refund or dispose of it properly. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommends consumers remain vigilant for symptoms and seek medical attention if illness occurs.

For further inquiries, customers can contact Western United Fish Company at (425) 558-7809 or email [email protected]. The FDA will continue to monitor the situation and will provide updates through its notification channels.
