O’Donnell and Wallace Call for Trump’s Retirement Amid Concerns

NEW YORK, NY — Rosie O’Donnell and Nicolle Wallace have both expressed concerns about Donald Trump’s cognitive abilities during a recent podcast conversation. O’Donnell, who was a guest on Wallace’s podcast, suggested that Trump, 79, should be “in place to help people who are in dementia” rather than leading the nation.
During the episode, which aired Monday, O’Donnell compared Trump to “your grandfather at that age” and illustrated her point by saying he shouldn’t be trusted with an electric knife at Thanksgiving. She added that, like President Joe Biden, Trump appears “not cognitively present” compared to how he used to be.
Wallace, who hosts Deadline: White House for MSNBC, remarked on the ongoing feud between Trump and O’Donnell, highlighting that Trump lashed out at Wallace following her coverage of his Administration’s issues. “She is a loser, with bad ratings,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, criticizing Wallace’s reporting on his upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Despite Trump’s attacks, Wallace briefly addressed them on her show the following day, claiming he is “furious at anyone that covers the truth” about him. O’Donnell commented on Trump’s lasting impact, stating, “It’s hard for me to believe that this uneducated racist buffoon is the president of the United States.”
The two reflected on their shared history at The View, where their friendship began. Wallace recalled her audition experience on the show and praised O’Donnell for her intelligence. O’Donnell insisted that mainstream media needs to stop allowing Trump to dictate the news cycle and should present his statements with context.
While the podcast showcased their criticism of Trump, it also touched on their previous collaboration and camaraderie on The View.
