Fantasy Football Week 6 Players To Stash

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Week 6 of the NFL season arrives with fantasy managers facing roster challenges due to bye weeks and injuries. Finding the right players to stash could lead to significant fantasy payoffs later in the season.

Among the rising stars, rookie running back Jaydon Blue has stepped up for the Dallas Cowboys after Miles Sanders was ruled out for the season with knee and ankle injuries. Blue has been named the No. 2 running back behind Javonte Williams, who has been a workhorse since he arrived in Dallas. Although Blue’s previous performance resulted in just four carries for seven yards, analysts have confidence in his potential. His skills have drawn comparisons to Jahmyr Gibbs for his explosive playmaking ability.

Meanwhile, Isaiah Davis from the New York Jets is also trending upward. With Braelon Allen sidelined for approximately two months, Davis has filled the No. 2 running back position. He gained 33 yards on four touches last week and showed capability as both a runner and receiver. His performance may lead to an expanded role, especially if Breece Hall becomes a trade candidate as the Jets focus on rebuilding.

Christian Watson of the Green Bay Packers is a notable stash for fantasy managers, although he won’t play against the Bengals this week. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has indicated Watson made significant strides in practice, suggesting a potential return in Week 7. His explosive playmaking ability and touchdown potential could boost the Packers’ offense as the season progresses.

Wide receiver Jalen Coker, returning from IR due to a quad injury, could also provide a spark for the Carolina Panthers. He is a game-time decision for their matchup against Dallas, but his return could bolster a struggling receiving corps, allowing him to reclaim a significant role.

Fantasy managers should also keep an eye on tight end AJ Barner of the Seattle Seahawks. Barner caught seven passes for 53 yards and two touchdowns in a high-scoring game against the Buccaneers, and he currently ranks as a solid tight end option for Week 6 against the Jaguars.

Finally, quarterback Mac Jones may be a valuable short-term play for fantasy managers looking for reliability while Brock Purdy is sidelined. Under head coach Kyle Shanahan, Jones has demonstrated he can produce points and has a favorable matchup against Tampa Bay.
