Footage Released of Paul Bissonnette’s 6-on-1 Assault in Scottsdale
Footage of the assault on former Arizona Coyotes player and NHL on TNT analyst Paul Bissonnette has been released by the Scottsdale Police Department. The incident occurred on November 24 at Houston’s restaurant near McDonald Drive and Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale, Arizona.
According to Bissonnette, who detailed the event on an episode of the podcast ‘Spittin' Chiclets,’ he intervened when he saw a group of men getting rowdy and physical with a restaurant employee. Bissonnette stated that he warned the men to stop harassing the staff, which led to them attacking him. The fight involved six men and spilled from the restaurant to the nearby CVS parking lot.
The released footage shows the moment the fight broke out inside the restaurant, the altercation moving outside, and the continuation of the fight in the CVS parking lot. Bissonnette reported being kicked multiple times and managing to run into the CVS, where the attackers did not follow him. He was able to continue his work, broadcasting an NHL game on TNT just days after the incident.
The six men involved in the assault have been identified as Danny Bradley, John G. Carroll, William J. Carroll, Sean Daley, Edward Jennings, and Henry Mesker. Sean Daley faces a felony charge for engaging in violent and disruptive behavior and causing injury, along with a class one misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. The other men were initially charged with misdemeanors, but those charges are under review by the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.
Bissonnette has been vocal on social media, advocating for the full extent of the law to be applied to the men involved. He described the incident as “never going to be a fair fight” and expressed his determination to see justice served.
In addition to the assault on Bissonnette, there was a similar incident reported at the Raven Golf Club earlier the same day, with the victim believing one of the attackers was Danny Bradley, although police are still investigating this incident.
