Katie Miller Labor Day Weekend Washington Dc

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Katie Miller, the wife of former Trump aide Stephen Miller, posted on Instagram about her family’s Labor Day weekend in the nation’s capital. The post, shared on Monday, featured photos of their three young children enjoying a baseball game and the National Mall.

Miller’s caption read, “A beautiful weekend in our Nation’s Capitol with the family. Thank you President Trump for Making DC Safe Again.” While many followers enjoyed the photos, some were quick to point out the choice of background music.

Green Day’s song “Wake Me Up When September Ends” served as the background for the post. Despite its popularity, the band has openly criticized the Trump administration, which raised eyebrows among some followers.

Earlier this year, Green Day’s lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong expressed his disdain for politicians including Vice President and former administration officials during live performances. He even altered lyrics to their songs to reflect his views, changing lines to reference notable figures like JD Vance and Elon Musk.

Some of Miller’s followers did not hesitate to voice their opinions in the comment section. One user said, “Don’t take this the wrong way, pick a different band for your song. Green Day hates America.” Another added, “Great pics – Green Day hates the Don just FYI.” A third simply wrote, “Green Day is woke.”

The Daily Beast has reached out to both Katie Miller and Green Day representatives for comment.
