NEET UG 2024: Guidelines, Dress Code, and Exam Day Instructions for Candidates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024 today across various exam centers in the country. More than 24 lakh candidates have registered for this crucial medical entrance examination, making it one of the largest in the country for undergraduate courses.

The NEET UG 2024 exam is scheduled to take place from 2 pm to 5:20 pm. It will consist of four subjects with two sections each – Section A with 35 questions and Section B with 15 questions, out of which candidates can choose to answer any 10.

Candidates are reminded to download and carry their NEET UG 2024 admit card to the exam center. The hall ticket, available on the official website of NTA, must have a clear photograph, signature, and roll number barcode for identification purposes.

Aspirants appearing for the NEET UG 2024 exam are required to adhere to a specific dress code. They should dress in casual attire without long sleeves and avoid wearing shoes. Slippers or sandals are permitted for the exam. Candidates must report to the exam center by the specified time.

NTA has put in place strict guidelines for the exam day. The reporting time at the exam center is 11:30 am, with the final entry allowed until 1:30 pm. Candidates should note that no bio-breaks are permitted during the first and last half-hour of the exam.

Prohibited items such as electronic gadgets, study material, and bags are strictly not allowed inside the exam hall. Candidates are urged to refrain from any form of malpractice during the examination.

Educational Minister Ranoj Pegu expressed his best wishes to all candidates appearing for the NEET UG 2024 exam. The exam centers are set to open two hours before the start time, and candidates should plan their travel accordingly.

Applicants can access their NEET UG 2024 admit cards from the official NTA website by entering their application number and date of birth. The admit card will contain essential details such as reporting time, exam guidelines, and the dress code.
