Tokyo, Japan – The PlayStation Network experienced a significant outage on September 4, 2025, affecting thousands of users across the globe. Reports from Down Detector showed that over 7,000 players reported issues by Wednesday afternoon.
As of now, 7,242 users indicated they faced problems with the Sony-owned gaming platform. According to Down Detector’s findings, 88% of the complaints focused on server connections. Additionally, 7% of users had trouble logging in, while 5% faced issues during gameplay.
Despite widespread frustration, the official PlayStation support account on X, @askplaystation, has yet to respond to the high volume of inquiries. Many affected users took to social media to express their discontent, but no updates from the company have emerged thus far.
