Political Turmoil Erupts Over Allegations Against Bjp It Cell Head Amit Malviya

A delegation of women MLAs from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by Rakhi Birla, met with the National Commission for Women (NCW) in Delhi, demanding action against BJP IT department head Amit Malviya.

Malviya had recently sent a legal notice to a Kolkata-based lawyer, Santanu Sinha, for making perceived defamatory allegations, sparking a political uproar.

Meanwhile, the Congress called for Malviya’s removal as the head of the BJP’s IT department over alleged accusations of sexual exploitation, heightening tensions.

The delegation submitted a memorandum to the NCW, emphasizing the urgency for swift action against Malviya to maintain trust in the commission among women across the country.

The AAP MLAs present included Pramila Tokas, Vandana Kumari, Preeti Tomar, alongside party officials Reena Gupta and Sarika Chaudhary, the Delhi State President of the party’s women wing.

Santanu Sinha, a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), clarified that his social media post regarding Amit Malviya was misinterpreted, fueling the ongoing political dispute.

Sinha expressed regret in a new post, standing by his original statement but denying any insinuations of sexual misconduct against Malviya.

Malviya, in his legal notice to Sinha, demanded a substantial sum for mental distress and reputation damage, adding to the escalating legal confrontation.

Despite pushback from Malviya and the BJP, Sinha refused to retract the post, attributing the controversy to political misinterpretation.

The Congress and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) intensified their criticism of Malviya, with the TMC spokesperson Riju Dutta accusing the BJP of sheltering alleged wrongdoers within its ranks.

While the BJP dismissed Sinha’s allegations as unfounded, the political turmoil surrounding Amit Malviya’s conduct continues to capture national attention.
