San Antonio Academy Enhances Campus Safety and Honors Community Leaders
San Antonio Academy, an all-boys pre-K through 8th grade independent school in San Antonio, Texas, is set to enhance its campus safety with the construction of new Security Welcome Centers. The project, led by local firm Malitz Construction, which is owned by an Academy family, is scheduled to begin shortly after the Fall Family Fair and is expected to be completed by March 2025. A groundbreaking ceremony for the project is planned for Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
In addition to the safety improvements, the Alumni Association of San Antonio Academy will honor the Texas Cavaliers with the 40th Col. W. T. Bondurant, Sr. Humanitarian Award at a special luncheon on November 19, 2024. The event, to be held at The Witte Museum, Mays Family Center, will benefit the Col. W. T. Bondurant, Jr. Scholarship Fund, which supports the education of deserving young men at The Academy.
The school also recently announced the Battalion leadership positions for the 2024-25 school year during a ceremony held after chapel on October 21, 2024, in Ellison Hall. This event is part of SAA’s tradition of developing young leaders who are scholars, men of integrity, and brothers who can rely on each other.
San Antonio Academy is known for its strong sense of brotherhood and tailored educational approach, which caters to the unique learning needs of boys. The school emphasizes lifelong friendships, community engagement, and the development of young men who are honest, kind, and strive to be their best selves.
