Duleep Trophy Cricket Match

The Duleep Trophy 2024-25 is set to commence on September 5, 2024, marking the beginning of India’s domestic cricket season. The tournament will take place at two venues: the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and the ACA ADCA Ground in Anantapur.

This year, the Duleep Trophy will feature a new format with four teams competing: Team A, Team B, Team C, and Team D. The matches will follow a round-robin format with each team playing against the other three teams, totaling six matches.

The squad for Team A includes notable players such as Shubman Gill, who will be serving as captain, along with Mayank Agarwal, Dhruv Jurel, KL Rahul, and Prasidh Krishna, among others. Team B will be led by Abhimanyu Easwaran, featuring players like Rishabh Pant and Navdeep Saini. Teams C and D will be captained by Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shreyas Iyer, respectively.

Matches are scheduled for four days each, with the first match starting on September 5 between Team A and Team B, followed by Team C facing Team D simultaneously at a different venue. This year’s tournament acts as a preparatory series for the Indian national team ahead of their upcoming Test matches against Bangladesh starting September 19.

Television coverage of the Duleep Trophy will be provided by Sports 18, while live streaming will be available on Jio Cinema. This event gathers significant attention due to the presence of numerous capped Indian players and emerging talents in the domestic circuit.
