50 Cent Charlie Kirk Shooting Reactions

PROVO, Utah — Prominent figures in Hip-Hop are facing backlash after they responded to the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on September 10. Kirk was shot while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University.

A torrent of tributes from conservative pundits and President Donald Trump followed the tragic news. However, reactions from some hip-hop artists quickly ignited controversy. Notably, rapper 50 Cent shared a post on Instagram that included a close-up clip of the moment Kirk was shot. Although the entry wound was blurred, it stirred chaos in the comments.

“Want to know how I feel about this,” 50 Cent wrote. “I don’t know but I do know it’s a good time to shut the f**k up.” The post was soon deleted, but not before it triggered angry responses from Kirk’s supporters.

Another artist, Styles P, also faced criticism from conservatives. He posted a picture with the caption, “You be aight!!! We in the mix!!!,” alongside a politically charged song by Murda. Critics accused Styles of making light of Kirk’s death. In response, Styles clarified, “Nah That was a genuine mistake. I was just showing @unclemurda and @tonyyayo that I knew how to throw up a collab post fast … ask them!! My word! Then I was like why people bugging ??”

Styles added, “If and when I say something stupid I don’t mind taking ownership for it !!!” He acknowledged the situation as “crazy,” emphasizing he did not intend to mock Kirk’s death.

Kirk, 31, co-founded Turning Point USA and was known for his polarizing views on various political issues. He is survived by his wife, Erika, and two children. Following his death, other rap artists also expressed their thoughts, including Plies, who criticized the situation, and King Los, who warned about the dangers of provocative opinions.

The shooter remains unidentified, adding to the chaos surrounding the tragic event.
