Mithun Chakraborty Hospitalised In Kolkata: Health Update And Routine Checkup Details

Veteran Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata after complaining of chest pain. This incident, reported by India Today, led to immediate hospitalization and ongoing medical treatment for the actor.

Sources close to the actor revealed that Mithun Chakraborty’s discomfort prompted the hospital visit but his family has reassured the public, labelling it as a routine checkup. His son, Mimoh Chakraborty, confirmed to Indian Express that his father is ‘100 percent fine’.

The Kolkata hospital’s officials, where Mithun is currently receiving medical attention, stated that the actor underwent an MRI scan, with further tests being conducted. The hospital spokesperson mentioned that Mithun’s health evaluation is in progress and detailed information will be provided later.

Mimoh Chakraborty, who shared the health update, also mentioned that the reports from the MRI are awaited and that Mithun Chakraborty is under the care of a neuromedicine specialist. The actor was in Kolkata for the filming of the movie ‘Shastri‘ at the time of his medical incident.

Mithun Chakraborty, known for his diverse filmography and recent judging role on the reality show Dance Bangla Dance, was honoured with the prestigious Padma Bhushan award in January 2024. The actor expressed his gratitude for the recognition in interviews with ETimes, highlighting the significance of the award.
