School Delays and Road Closures Expected March 24 Due to Weather

SIoux City, Iowa – March 24, 2025 – Due to inclement weather leading to unsafe road conditions, several school districts in multiple states have announced closures and delays for today.
Camden Central Schools and several others throughout central New York will experience a two-hour delay. The adjustments also apply to New Hartford Schools and Holland Patent Central Schools, both of which will not hold morning BOCES classes. St. Joseph’s Church in Camillus has closed its food pantry for the day.
Reported closures in Central Oregon include La Pine and Sunriver schools in the Bend-La Pine School District, along with Trinity Lutheran School and La Pine High School‘s Headstart Classes. The Bend School District also issued a two-hour delay.
Drivers are advised to be cautious on roadways, as multiple lane closures are scheduled in various cities due to ongoing maintenance and utility repairs. In Sioux City, two lanes on Hamilton Boulevard at 17th Street will close starting Monday for a week due to utility repairs postponed from winter weather. Motorists should adhere to local traffic control measures.
The Fargo area will see lane reductions on University Drive South, which will be limited to one lane between 8th and 9th avenues due to sewer line repair work. This closure will is expected to last four days. Additionally, 2nd Avenue North will close for five days to accommodate crane work on a building.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, State Road 1 in Steuben County will close starting March 24 for bridge construction between U.S. 20 and Metz Road, with completion expected by the end of April. Drivers are advised to use detours or alternate routes during this period.
