Wrestlepalooza Debuts on ESPN with Cena vs. Lesnar Showdown

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — Wrestling fans are gearing up for Wrestlepalooza, the first WWE Premium Live Event (PLE) to air on ESPN‘s new streaming service, taking place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The highly anticipated event features a thrilling main event where John Cena, wrestling in one of his final matches, will face off against Brock Lesnar. Both Cena and Lesnar are returning to the ring after extended absences, making the matchup particularly exciting for fans.
Wrestlepalooza will kick off at 7 p.m. ET, following a special two-hour pre-show beginning at 5 p.m. ET. The event will be exclusively available to subscribers with an ESPN Unlimited plan, which will showcase not only Wrestlepalooza but also future WWE events.
In addition to Cena vs. Lesnar, the fight card includes AJ Lee‘s return after a decade away, where she will team up with her husband, CM Punk, against rivals Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. Cody Rhodes will defend his WWE Undisputed Championship against Drew McIntyre, and The Usos will compete as a tag team for the first time since 2023.
For fans outside the U.S., Wrestlepalooza will also be streamed live on Netflix. The first part of the event, the ‘Road to Wrestlepalooza’ special, airs on ESPN2 on September 19 from 3 to 4 p.m. ET.
Tickets for Wrestlepalooza are in high demand, starting at $173. Fans can access more WWE coverage and updates through ESPN’s programming and on their website.
The event is significant not only as the launch of WWE’s new partnership with ESPN but also for revitalizing the Wrestlepalooza brand, last seen in 2000 under the ECW banner.
