Lollapalooza Festival Chicago

GRANT PARK, ChicagoLollapalooza is back this week for a vibrant four-day music festival featuring artists from multiple genres. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday to Sunday, spanning eight stages throughout Grant Park.

This year’s lineup boasts major names like Tyler, The Creator, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Luke Combs, TWICE, A$AP Rocky, Korn, Gracie Abrams, Dom Dolla, and Djo. Olivia Rodrigo will make her Chicago debut at Lollapalooza, marking a significant first for the event. Additionally, Luke Combs will be the first country artist to close the festival, while TWICE will be the first female K-pop group to headline.

All one-day, two-day, and four-day tickets are sold out on Lollapalooza’s website, but fans can still find verified resale tickets through Ticketmaster.

Festival attendees can enter through two main locations: the corner of Michigan Avenue and Ida B. Wells Drive and Monroe Street along Columbus Drive. Security measures are in place, requiring everyone to undergo bag searches and magnetometer screenings. Wristbands must be worn on the right wrist for scanning to enter the venue.

Attendees are allowed to bring clear bags up to 12-by-6-by-12 inches, and fanny packs or clutch purses that are smaller than this and contain only one pocket. Fans are advised to keep their belongings secure and refrain from leaving valuables in their back pockets.

Outside liquids are prohibited, but free water will be accessible at various hydration stations across the festival ground. Hydration packs are permitted if emptied and with no more than two pockets.

Additional items not allowed include coolers, blankets, aerosol cans, selfie sticks, and umbrellas. For more details on renting lockers and chargers, as well as health and safety measures, visit the festival’s official website.

Local residents should be mindful of the ongoing street closures due to the festival, which began on July 16 and are expected to continue through Monday. Some areas impacted include Grant Park’s tennis and pickleball courts and the Grant Bark Park, which will reopen on August 9. A temporary dog park is available for pet owners during this closure next to the skate park.
