Jason Kelce Invests in New Jersey Hot Sauce Brand Hank Sauce
Millville, New Jersey – Former NFL center Jason Kelce has made a significant move in his post-football career by investing in Hank Sauce, a hot sauce company based in New Jersey. The investment aims to increase the brand’s national presence.
Founded in 2011 by chef Brian “Hank” Ruxton, Hank Sauce started as a college project and quickly grew from humble beginnings in a garage to now occupying a 10,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Millville. The sauce is currently available in over 5,000 stores across the United States.
Kelce’s involvement with Hank Sauce comes through his private family office, Winnie Capital. He expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “I’m a longtime fan and consumer of Hank Sauce products. I couldn’t jump on board fast enough.” He values the authenticity of the brand, which emphasizes flavor over extreme heat.
Kelce has strong ties to the area, owning a home in Sea Isle City and frequently dining at the Hank Sauce restaurant. Matt Pittaluga, co-founder of the company, noted that the partnership evolved naturally from Kelce’s love for their product, mentioning that they had used Hank Sauce in the Eagles’ cafeteria.
A unique aspect of Hank Sauce is its appeal to those who may not typically enjoy hot sauce. Pittaluga pointed out that they focus on mild sauces that enhance food rather than overpower it. Kelce’s role will extend beyond financial backing; he plans to collaborate on content and strategic initiatives to raise awareness as Hank Sauce expands further into grocery stores and restaurants nationwide.
Since retiring from the NFL after the 2023 season, Kelce has kept busy with various media engagements, brand partnerships, and investments.
